BloomCon26 Call for Proposals *Open Until March 31, 2026*
Theme: Bridging the Gap
Bright Insight is seeking proposals for catalyst sessions (keynote speakers), presentations, panels, workshops, roundtables, games, and creative sessions focused on connecting across lived experience, research, practice, and community. Interested individuals may fill out as many proposals as they would like for different sessions. (Please start a new form for each proposal.)
Location:📍 J. Erik Jonsson Central Library in Dallas, TX & Online
Date: 📅 October 1–4, 2026 (in person)
Along with professional presentations, we welcome interdisciplinary and lived-experience-based work. Priority selection is given to presenters who are BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, economically disadvantaged, and otherwise underrepresented within gifted and neurodivergent communities, reflecting and attending to their historical exclusion from research leadership, professional conferences, and community meaning-making.
Presenters who pre-record for the online speaker series will receive free registration as an honorarium.
Dąbrowskians! Positive Disintegration Book & Study Group

The Bright Insight Community is launching an open, ongoing book and study group devoted to Kazimierz Dąbrowski’s original writings on the Theory of Positive Disintegration (TPD).
This is not a typical book club and not a theory lecture series. We will rotate through Dąbrowski’s primary texts, engaging short, conceptually dense excerpts to allow for careful, unhurried study.
Objectives include:
-
Deepening understanding through direct engagement with Dąbrowski’s original texts
-
Exploring overexcitability, multilevel development, value hierarchies, dynamisms, and inner conflict
-
Applying the framework thoughtfully to lived experience without reducing it to labels
-
Building shared understanding through text-centered dialogue
This group is not about being taught the theory. While Dr. Patty Gently and Youssef Sleiman are well-read in TPD, the space centers shared inquiry, collective reflection, and serious engagement with the material.
Expertise is not assigned here. All who are drawn to developmental depth and careful discussion are welcome.
The group will begin once filled, likely April 2026, and will meet twice monthly, alternating between:
-
Fridays, 7:00pm Central (Saturday mornings AU)
-
Saturdays, 11:00am Central (Saturday evenings EU)
Participants may attend one or both sessions as schedules allow.
A suggested yearly donation of $120–$240 supports facilitation and infrastructure. Contributions may be more or less according to individual needs and means. No explanation required.
Interested participants are invited to complete the application form at the linked button below!
Gifted Curious Workshop
You've might've listened to hours of content about giftedness, how it's different from high IQ, or how it can affect the whole body.
Wanna talk about it?
Whether you're late identified as gifted, rediscovering your own giftedness or just plain curious, this may be a good workshop for you.
Instead of lectures and even more content to absorb, this is a guided conversation workshop that poses 30+ questions in a small-group setting about participants' lived experiences.
The Gifted Curious Workshop offer participants a place to explore gifted stereotypes, gifted needs, social constructs of intelligence, and more.
